WAX is a global decentralized marketplace for virtual assets. The application of WAX is much more straightforward then some of our previous coin reviews. Simply put, WAX is an ERC-20 token, which can be used to buy and sell virtual assets on its Worldwide Asset eXchange.

Let’s look at the market here. Just looking at in-game items alone is nothing to laugh at. There are an estimated 400+ million gamers who trade these in-game items, with an estimated market of $50B.

Using the WAX platform users can safely and securely buy and sell items...and they foster a great community with incentives.

To start, users can create their own stores. Users can also offer services to facilitate transactions and get rewarded in WAX. Lastly, appraisers are rewarded in WAX for their marketplace expertise and pricing critiques. There are other roles as well such as asset creators, who can create their own virtual assets and put them for sale in their marketplace.

There are more details, but you get the point. This project is not super technical next-gen blockchain 3.0 web shit, but it’s practical and useful...which is always great in this space.
